My AI video flopped (and I’m showing you anyway)
Plus: A BIG Instagram update and YouTube’s new AI policy.

VEO 3 Tested
VEO at $200/Month – Was It Worth It?
This month, I tested Google’s fancy new VEO 3 video tool (yes, the one in the Gemini app).
Here’s what happened:
Gemini prompts worked better than ChatGPT for video scripting
VEO 3 was easier to use than Sora, but still tricky
The built-in voice tool? Yikes. I used ElevenLabs instead
Syncing voice and visuals = not fun
It took me 5–6 hours to make one video. Yep.
The result? A flop (but I uploaded it for you anyway!)

Why Your Content Still Needs You
YouTube’s new policy (rolled out July 15) is drawing a clear line: fully AI-generated videos without meaningful human input may no longer be eligible for monetization. The message? Authenticity matters.
This is a great reminder that just hitting “generate” doesn’t equal good content. Posting sloppy, no-thought, low-effort videos to stay active can hurt your brand more than help it.
But here's the real talk:
Messy action is still better than no action at all.
Trying, testing, learning—that’s how you get better. Just aim for intentional messy action. Keep the heart and purpose at the center of your content.
💡Pro tip: A simple, helpful video with your voice or perspective still beats a polished, soulless one made by AI.

Instagram Is Now Showing Up in Google Search! This is BIG!!
Yep, it’s happening. Instagram posts, profiles, and even Reels are now appearing in Google search results. While this is still rolling out, it signals a significant shift: your Instagram content is no longer just for scrolling; it can now be discovered outside the app.
That means:
Your bio matters more than ever
Posts with clear keywords = better visibility
Reels could get long-term traffic (not just fast views)
Why It Matters:
Your Instagram content isn’t just social, it’s now searchable. If you're putting effort into great posts, you could see bonus reach from people finding you on Google. Think of it like SEO-lite for creatives and small biz owners.
🔎 Pro Tip: Start treating your Instagram like a mini website by optimizing your bio, using keyword-friendly captions, and keeping your highlight reels updated.
